The Kneedler will be taking a hiatus for a while; there might be occasional posts over the next few months but not on any sort of regular basis. Have a wonderful summer, and I'll look forward to starting up again in the fall. Happy knitting!
Someone once asked me why I enjoyed knitting so much - was it because I enjoyed the planning of a new project; did I like the process of knitting itself; or did I like having the finished item? The answer to all these question was, of course, "yes". I love all of these aspects to knitting but most of all I love its sensuality and tactility - the feel and smell of the fibres, the beauty of the colours, and the joy of watching stitches forming through the strange little movements of my hands. My hands are often a lot smarter than my brain, so I find I do my best knitting when I just let my hands do whatever comes naturally to them. I've been knitting for over 30 years now, and have only just begun to scratch the surface of what there is to know about knitting. I'm looking forward to the rest of the journey!
